A reduced set of numbers for this relatively small competition –
exams for the older school age members kept the numbers down, and Cambridge
United making it to Wembley caused a few last minute drop-outs. But being
a friendly it gave a great opportunity for new and younger members to
do their first competition. Well done to those who went and a big thank
you to Neil who both judged and took charge on the day and Sarah for sorting
out all the Roo’s who went – I believe it was the first competition
for all the Roo’s that attended.
• Emily Trezise, a Roo, came 5th in the under 7 girl starters section.
• George Allen, another Roo, came second in the under 7 boys starters.
He obviously gets his bouncing ability off his mum.
• Kieran Trezise was the best Roo on the day with a 2nd place in
the mixed under 11 starter section. An excellent result.
• Charlotte Allen and Alexa Hanson came 11th and 12th respectively
in the under 9 girls beginners section.
• Naomi Waldock (U13) and Melissa Beeston (U15) were in the ungraded
girls section. Unfortunately due to a mix-up with the differences between
Southern (Milton Keynes) and Eastern Region (Cambridge) routines, they
both lost a lot of points due to performing incorrect routines and so
came 14th and 4th respectively. On their form scores alone they would
have come much higher.
• Cameron Fullerton, grade 5 15+ mixed, was just pipped into 2nd
place.
• And not far behind Cameron, in his first competition, was Charles
Heales in 3rd. An excellent performance for a first timer.
• Anna Chandler, grade 5 under 15 girls, came 9th in a strong and
evenly matched field.
• And finally, Grace Pike came 5th in the U11 grade 5 girls. Getting
ever closer to a medal position...
