2009 Cangaroos Awards - 12.12.09 - Sawston Sports Centre

Living Sports Awards. The club and Head Coach, Tony Fagelman were invited to the recent Living Sports Awards which took place on November 12th at the Marriott Hotel, Huntingdon. It was a great evening, with some inspiring words from guest speaker Rory Underwood. However, most importantly, the club won Community Club of the Year and Tony was runner-up in the Coach of the Year category. We were invited to take part in BBC Radio Cambridge's Monday Night Quiz again.
On 2nd November 6.00pm - 7.00pm, a team from Cangaroos took on a team from Living Sport. Unfortunately, it's no longer available on iplayer, but it was a fun night.

11.07.09 - ARM HQ, Cherry Hintin. Cangaroos performed a display for ARM employees as a thank you for their sponsorship.

GymMark:
The Club succesfully achieved GymMark accreditation in May 2009

New coach:
Congratulations are due to Emily Stannard and Jo Potts who both passed their Level 1 coaching awards on 9th August 2009. Emma will be assisting us at the Sawston Tuesday sessions

Comic Relief:
The club sold red noses to all members for bouncing use during the week of 9th March. We raised ove £60.00 for Comic Relief. You can see some suitably 'funny' pictures here

Cambridge SSCO:
The club is delighted to announce that we have formed a partnership with Cambridge SSCO. This means that our close ties with our current schools will be maintained and expanded to include all primary schools connected to those secondary schools. In addition, we are looking at how we can further expand to bring trampolining to the remaining 5 schools in the partnership and their feeder primary schools.

Awards for All:
The club has succesfully bid for grant aid funding towards new equipment from Awards for All. We have been awarded our full request of £10,000 with which we intend to purchase 2 new trampolines and other equipment. Full details of where equipment will be allocated will be announced shortly
