So a low turnout, illness and unavailability reduced entries to just 7

Started with Grace first thing and after her two best ever sets of scores, with every mark over 7 we were disappointed that she came 18th out of 20. But she should be proud of her performance it was a great move forward.

Imogen H also did brilliantly, just missing out on a 3rd place medal, again one of her best performances

Next up was Cameron, only 3 in his group, but he pulled out another good performance, matching his result at the Cangaroos competition he came 1st again… 2 wins in 2 competitions… no stopping him!

In the Grade 4, Joe was unable to come, so no team this time round, Max and Michael both did excellent sets, with Michael going forward into the voluntaries with a slight lead, but neither could repeat their form in the vols, Max was 6th and Michael beat him into 5th…

Best result of the day went to Sophie, not only did she come 1st in the Under 15 gd 4 but she qualified by 1.3 marks to grade 3.

Finally, Helen was our sole entry in the u17 girls gd 4 and after one of her best set routines, we had hopes of a strong finish, unfortunately again the vol wasn’t quite as good but she still managed to take 3rd place, so well done to her..

Still it was a good day… 2 1st places and a 3rd place… a hard fought boys competition.. and some improving scores from everybody. All our competitors should be proud.

Finally, a big thank you to Neil, Andrea and Liz for officiating, it meant I could watch from the competition floor, a luxury I seldom have and one I enjoyed and I hope it benefitted the kids as well.
