Cangaroos Club Competition 2008

Cangaroos Club Competition 2008

On Saturday, 6th December, Sawston Sports Centre played host to Cambridge Cangaroo Trampoline Club’s closed competition. This year, the club decided to hold a competition for just its own members as they had increased so dramatically in size. With over 50 competitors on the day, the competition was hard fought and well won in all our categories.
Brentwood Open 2008

Brentwood Open 2008

The first competition of the new season was held in Brentwood on 2nd October 2008. This was the first competition using the new routines and this caused quite a bit of confusion on the day. The entry from Cangaroos was quite small, mainly due to the fact that members weren’t yet confident in their routines to perform them in competition, so just a small contingent of 9 competitors and two officials made their way to Brentford.
Letchworth Grading 2008

Letchworth Grading 2008

What a fantastic day for the club... four 1st places, two 2nd places and one third place and two team firsts. Plus a qualification to the next grade, all from a total entry of just 14 on the day 18 entries from the club prior to the start, saw 14 actually compete. Our thanks go out to Anne Withington and Liz Housden who judged for us and to Andrea Howard who once again acted as Competition Marshal (they all ask for you now Andrea!). Various club members assisted as warm-up marshalls throughout the day and even Head Coach, Tony Fagelman was seen clutching warm-up cards at various trampolines to help out, a bit of a come down from Chair of Judges, but it did mean he got to be on the competition floor for all our performances.
