Cambridge Cangaroos Trampoline club made the short journey to Hitchin Grammar School on June 10th for the 3rd grading of the 2012 season. With 22 entries in the trampoline competition and a further 4 in the regions inaugural Double Mini Tramp (DMT) competition, we were once again well represented. A number unfortunately pulled out, but once again a good medal haul and some significant qualifications were attained.
Highlights of the Day were Trinity Kelly’s qualification in 1st place in the Regional D Grade U15 Girls DMT. Her ‘Advanced score’ meant she qualified easily for National C grade and gives Cangaroos their 4th National DMT performer and matches her Trampoline qualification at National level. Other notable results were Harry Mallows 1st place in the Grade E DMT (all) and his qualification to Grade D. This made up for his lack of concentration in the Trampoline competition, where along with 2 other members of the men’s Cangaroos team, memory lapses cost them dearly.
Also achieving gold medals were Rebecca Kiff in the over 15 Girls regional club H and Anya Snook in the under 9 Girls regional club H, Anya also qualified to Regional G. Cangaroos also gained team Gold in both the Over 15 Girls Club H and the under 13 Girls Club H.
Silver medalists included Ellie Sayer in the over 15 Girls Club H and Mila Feldman in the under 13 Girls Club H, who also qualified to Regional G.
Our Bronze medalist was Katie Todman in the under 11 Girls Regional H. Lois McGuire achieved qualification from Regional G to Regional F with a qualifying score of 45.9. Our full results are listed below.
So with 7 individual medals and two team golds, Cangaroos continue to achieve high results. We now look forward to the Wisbech Open on 17th June and then the National Finals at the NIA in Birmingham on the weekend of July 7th and 8th where our senior men will be competing in both the National C Trampoline finals and the National C DMT finals.
