The Club competition is an optional friendly event open to all members, ages and abilities. It is hosted at our centre in Whittlesford and is a wonderful way to compete in a relaxed environment and in a familiar venue.

What to wear
For individual trampoline and DMT competitions
- Leotards if owned (preferably club leotards if owned, or an alternative)
- If you don’t have a leotard, a club t shirt or plain t shirt (blue, black,white), with shorts or leggings.
- Strictly no jewellery
- If piercings are new these must be securely taped and you bounce at your own risk.
- Long hair tied up
- White socks (and trampolining shoes if applicable)
For synchronised trampoline,
- Fancy dress is traditional but not essential! We look forward to seeing your outfits on the day!
Please note costumes will need to not impede movement of the gymnast that would make the performance unsafe and efforts should be made to avoid the costume catching on the trampoline.
Age groups
Gymnast age groups are based on the age they will be at the end of 2026. (This is how British Gymnastics work out age groups!)
How the event works
Once we have all the entries you will receive a timetable with you / your gymnast's competition time and the group in which they are competing. This will be composed of gymnasts at a similar age and ability.
At the start of your group's time you will warm up your routine(s) on the trampoline and then prepare to compete. The warmup will last aproximately 10-15 minutes. The whole group will then compete their first routine one after the other followed by their second routine. Each routine will be scored by a panel of judges on tidyness, difficulty, travel and height.
- Club levels will compete the same routine twice.
- Regional levels will compete one prescribed routine and the option of a 'voluntary' routine. Often just repeat the prescribed routine twice.
- National level will compete two voluntary routines
At the end of the routines the score are added together and then shortly after medal are presented for the top three in each group.
Medals
Medals for 3rd , 2nd, and 1st place will be awarded throughout the day at aproximately 10:15, 13:00, 14:45 and 15:45. Meaning that if your category was at the beginning of the day, you don't need to hang around until the end if you were brilliant enough to medal!
We need your help
Donations for our stalls are wanted. We are after:
- Bottles- drinks, toiletries (tombola)
- Sweets, chocolates, small gifts (tombola)
- Second hand books (must be in good condition and not too niche!)
- Second hand cuddly toys (new, nearly new and well looked after).
- Cakes and bake donations. Please label clearly with allergens.
Refreshments
Light refreshments will be available. Crisps, chocolate, cakes, tea, coffee, sweets etc.
Payment
Where possible please bring cash to pay at any of the stalls. We will have a card machine available but this can be temperamental.
