This weekend, Birmingham played host to the English Trampoline and Double Mini Trampoline (DMT) Qualifier, bringing together talented gymnasts from across the country. Cambridge Cangaroos, celebrated their highest number of entries ever at this competition, a great achievement in itself!

Competing across a range of age groups and categories, our gymnasts delivered a series of strong performances in both trampoline and DMT disciplines.

In the trampoline competition, Sienna (11-12, Gold) narrowly missed out on a podium place with an impressive 4th-place finish, while Nicola (Disability Category 2, 15+) delivered two brilliant routines to secure 1st place in her category, an excellent achievement having come back from injury.

Eloise (13-14, Silver) achieved 12th, Pattie (13-14, Silver) placed 30th, and Freya (13-14, Gold) finished 19th in highly competitive fields. Lily (15-16, Gold) placed 21st in a high-calibre category, demonstrating a strong performance against tough competition. Lilly (13-14, Bronze) secured 13th place, while Rhiannon (17+, Silver) confidently completed her first trampoline routine and now looks ahead to building on that performance at the second qualifier in May.

Over in the DMT events, our gymnasts continued to build on their momentum. Sienna again impressed with a fantastic 4th-place finish in the 11-12 Silver category, while Pattie secured 6th place, having made final 1 out of 2, and Lilly finished 13th in the 13-14 Silver category. Liannah (15-16, Silver) delivered an excellent run to secure 5th place overall, having placed an impressive 2nd in the preliminary round.

A particular highlight came in the DMT synchro event, where Pattie and Lilly combined effectively to claim a fantastic 2nd place in the mixed junior category, demonstrating excellent timing, precision, and partnership.

We also extended our gratitude to the organisers and officials, whose efforts ensured the smooth running of a high-quality competition.

With strong results, growing experience, and clear potential across the squad, Cambridge Cangaroos leave Birmingham with plenty of positives, and a solid foundation for the remainder of the competitive season.
