The global crisis surrounding COVID-19 has meant we have had to make some changes to the way we as a club will operate sessions.
Session Times
All sessions (with the exception of 9am and 12:30pm are 50 minutes in length to allow for a 10-minute period before the next session commences to allow for cleaning.
Protective Equipment
Coaches will be wearing visors throughout every session; face masks may be worn by coaches if they wish under the visors.
Gymnasts may bring their own PPE if they wish to wear masks and gloves.
Building Access
Entrance is via the Front Entrance only.
Gymnasts and coaches should arrive at the session changed and ready for sport (although they may come in layers, depending on the weather).
Doors will be shut throughout the session and only opened on the hour to let the gymnasts enter the building. Once all the gymnasts are in the building, the doors will be locked again.
The roller doors will be partially opened to allow air-flow through the gym and the double fire doors at the rear of the building. Gymnasts must not enter or leave by these doors.
Parents and Gymnasts should remain in their cars until the front doors are opened for the Gymnasts to enter.
Parents will not be allowed in the building (except for parents of special needs children, who must maintain social distancing at all times).
Any gymnast arriving by bicycle, foot or train will be asked to remain outside the building (unless the weather is inclement, then they may be invited to stay in the lobby, but remain socially distant).
General Hygiene
All gymnasts must wash their hands (as per government guidelines) before entering the gym area
All gymnasts will have their temperature taken on entering the gym area
All gymnasts will be directed to their designated two metre sq area for warm-up
All gymnast must keep their belongings with them at all times
We recommend that gymnasts bring with them just the basic requirements for the sport (coat, water bottle, trampoline shoes, socks, etc) as they will be carrying them to the trampoline
All gymnasts will undertake their warm-ups within their two metre area
Following warm-ups; the gymnasts will be directed to their trampolines. Note: gymnasts should be retained within their family 'bubble' where possible.
All gymnasts should take all their belongings with them to their designated area at the trampolines
All gymnasts should remain within their designated area throughout the session
Mounting block have been purchased and should be available for those gymnasts that require them.
Where possible we will aim to only have one gymnast per trampoline that requires a mounting block
If the mounting blocks are to be shared, they will be placed in the centre and gymnasts will be asked to observe social distancing while mounting and dismounting
We encourage gymnasts to use their toilet facilities at home prior to coming training.
Gymnasts will be encouraged to avoid use of the toilets during the session. However, a one-way system will be in place, leaving the gym via the lobby doors, and returning via the corridor door.
At the end of the session, Coaches will direct each trampoline to leave in turn, to avoid them all leaving at the same time. (Ensure parents are waiting to collect the children.)
Gymnasts will leave the trampolines at the end of the session by the front Fire Doors
Any child whose parent is late for collecting them will be asked to remain around the office area until the parent arrives. As the roller doors will be open, they should be able to inform the coaches that they have arrived.
Cleaning
At the start of the 1st session and end of every other session, the following areas will be cleaned using anti-bacterial and alcohol-based cleaning solution (as recommended)
Trampoline pads
End deck mats
Throw-in mats
Steps/mounting blocks
The reception table (in the gym)
All door handles into and out of the gym (and painted areas around them)
All door handles into toilets
Front door (outside)
Fire door (inside)
Flooring
The Club will aim to carry out a deep clean once a week.
Parents/Gymnasts are reminded that if they show any symptoms of the disease they must let the club know immediately, plus the Government Track and Trace service. The Club will alert any family that has gymnasts attending sessions that they have attended.
Missing Sessions
The club hopes all gymnasts are able to attend their sessions but we do encourage you only to book PAYG sessions if you are as certain as possible you will be able to attend.
Regrettably due to the tight financial restrictions we face at this time (and the need to book coaches in advance) we cannot offer refunds or swaps for sessions that are missed due to self-quarantine.
If you chose to travel abroad or put yourself in a scenario that puts you at a risk of needing to isolate please do not book sessions immediately after your trip.
If you are unable to attend a PAYG session for any other reason we will consider this on a case by case basis.
