The club was invited to take part in a Cancer Research Fundraising Event being held at CRC in September.
The main event was a family fun day on Sunday 19th September 2010, and ran from 10.00am – 3.00pm to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Activities included a bouncy castle, sessions on a climbing wall, a cake stall, face painting, nail painting, mini makeovers, martial arts demonstrations, beat the goalie competition, raffle draw, refreshments, korfball shooting competitions, fitness challenges, guess the teddy bears name, and lots more challenges.
The club put on demos and offered opportunities to members of the public to have a bounce on the day.
All money taken on the day was donated to Cancer Research UK. There is a pink theme to link it to the cancer research theme.
There was a sponsored mile and a half run around the science park. This was held at 12.00pm on Wednesday 15th September 2010. The sponsorship money was handed in on the day of the run.
