Shelford Feast Demo

Shelford Feast Demo 2013

Date: Sunday 14th July 2013 at Shelford

The Cangaroos have done the Shelford Feast every since they were formed (with the exception of 2012 when it was rained off). There was certainly no danger of this today as the sun even managed to melt Kim's hat into something way less 'cool looking'.

Ali was first up today - although this was mostly because he made the age-old mistake of asking Tony what time it started (by 10am Tony obviously meant 11). Nonetheless despite nearly forgetting Tarranne they made their way to Shelford. Like clockwork the team all met up with Franky, Trinity, Sydney and Harry at the demo site and we began to get everything ready.

With the equipment ready many trips were made to the nearby icecream van and drinks tent in an attempt to stay cool. Talking of staying cool; Ali received a brand new hair style courtesy of the girls which certainly made him the centre of attention for a while with adjectives such as glorious and beautiful used in abundance.

Sine, Lexi and Abhi arrived shortly after and brought with them more awesome cakes which Tony promptly attacked despite Franky's best efforts to hide them. With the arrival of more bouncers and committee members including Stuart and Kim there was many many Cangaroos ready to get the day going.

Demo time arrived and the bouncers sprung into action with great examples of H routines from some of our younger bouncers followed by Abhi getting a massive applause for his G routine. As the mvoes got more tricky Harry, Sydeny, Trinity and Tarranne produced some stunning single sommersault skills that really got the crowd excited. Following them was Ali who did his best to show what a ballout to neck landing would look like but fortunately walked away unscathed and re-performed iot correctly. As the ticks got bigger so did the cheers as Luis did his fliff ballout and half out straight! Ali even nearly landed his Rudy out as the crowd was stunned with amazement. The highest crashdive competition saw Luis pie Ali with icecream with an epic hit - topping Ali's one previously at the ARM Demo. The two could be seen chasing each other around the field leaping over spectators. We finsihed with party pieces and then some free bounce time.

Before we left the field there was just enough time for Tony to dismantle the carefully erected fence surrounding the field with the trailer. Thank goodness more able drivers were on hand to help out. However, if you need anything demolished Tony is always on hand ready to help.

Thanks to everyone who came and bounced, supported or watched - a truly great weekend of displays is now over and Tony can finally go on holiday! Can he survive without a trampoline for two weeks? Who knows....
