Date: Saturday 18th January 2014 at Sawston
It was a brisk Saturday evening as the committee for the Cambridge Cangaroos arrived at the Marvin Centre, Sawston. Despite the occasional piece of wayward equipment we were soon underway.
The evening opened with a video montage from Ali of our achievements this past year. The clips included our high flying national performers all the way down to our roos and even some parents giving it a go.
No sooner was the montage over than the arsenal of fish and chips arrived. Table after table devored their dinner amist much chatter and laughing. The Pierson bar time worked tirelessly to provide refreshemnt while MC Fagelman was the toast master for the evening.
Simon Burson was promptly on stage to hand out awards most best improvers, volunteer of the year, club champons and Cangaroo of the Year.
With all those handed out we turned our attention to the disco. All genre of music filled the inviting hall as gymnasts and parents boogied along to Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Queen to name but a few.
It was a great evening that ran so well largely thanks to our tirelessly working Kim Pierson and the rest of the committee. See you all in summer for our 10 year anniversary!
