The Cangaroos are pleased to offering trampolining for adults and children with learning difficulties and disabilities. These sessions will run at 12:00 on Saturdays at Sawston and are supported by Living Sport via Sportivate.
Please make sure all bouncers arrive in suitable clothing; t-shirt, shorts / tracksuit bottoms (no jeans) and socks. All jewellery must be removed and long hair tied back. Additionally the parent/carer accompanying the participant must stay with them during the session.
Whilst we will make every effort to cater for everyone we do need to specify the following details with regards to participation.
- Participants suffering from a rodded back are allowed on the trampoline now as long as their consultant has provided the club with a letter of acceptance.
- People with Downs Syndrome need to have this medical form completed in order to bounce
- Persons diagnosed with Atlanto Axial Instability may not participate
- Persons with detaching retina cannot trampoline until the retina has fully detached and a rest period of at least three months has lapsed, they will then need a letter from their doctor to say they can partake in sport
The cost of the sessions are £5.00 per session, plus a British Gymnastics anual membership at a cost of £34.50. Trial sessions cost £5.00 and this is deducted from the remaining term fees.
