The club is seeking a volunteer treasurer to manage the finances of the club. This role no longer requires the processing of invoices to members but does require a general oversight of the club's financial status and the paying of invoices to coaches, centres and other expenses.

Being on the Cangaroos commiittee gives you priority for spaces at any Cangaroos session. If you are on the waiting list we will jump you to the top and offer you a space ahead of all other non-committee members.

Main Duties and Reponsibilities

  1. To maintain the financial oversight of the financial services and systems of the Club

  2. Manage the club appointed Book-Keeper to ensure the committee has up-to-date financial information in order to ensure the club has sufficient funds to operate at all times.

  3. Working with the book-keeper present annual financial statements to the AGM and where necessary to funding and grant giving organisations.

  4. To be part of the Remuneration committee to assist in setting fees for contracted coaches, recommend training fees and membership fees to the main committee.

  5. To be part of the Executive Committee (Chair, Club Secretary, Treasurer) and to carry out the requirements as a member of that Committee

  6. Work with the membership secretary to help maintain the membership records of the club

  7. Work with the appointed representative who is managing the 3rd party booking system (Book When)

  8. Assist the club in the application for grants and monetary support

  9. To ensure the ongoing operation of the club so it may deliver trampoline gymnastics to club members through the club with NGB long-term athlete development models.

  10. To represent the club to relevant organisations and media where required

  11. Develop and strengthen links between the club and schools or other trampoline & gymnastics providers.

  12. Where required, liaise with the relevant organisations (e.g. Regional Gymnastics Association, Specialist Sports College, primary and secondary schools) to ensure that the work locally is complimentary to and supportive of the work of other agencies.

  13. Attend relevant training courses to facilitate continued professional development and to use this knowledge to contribute to improving service delivery

  14. Agree to abide by NGB, SC-UK and club “Code of Ethics and Conduct”, Equity and Child Protection Policies.

Footnote

This role does NOT require the holder to be an experienced Financial Manager. The role is to manage the trained financial book-keep and present the financial position of the Club to the committee and club as required. The role-keeper will be a member of the Executive Committee and be a bank signatory.
