Update 20th March
We have now cancelled all sessions from 20th March following goverment advice.
17th March
During these unprecedented times, the Club will continue to operate, unless directed by the UK Government to cease our operations. Government policy, as announced today (16/03/20) is to continue to undertake exercise as fitness levels assist in potential future recovery. Please advise the Club via info@cangaroos.org if you are unable to attend.
Acting on Public Health England guidelines, we will adopt the following policies until recommended otherwise:
To ALL
- If you feel unwell, have a persistent tickly cough, a high temperature/fever or flu-like symptoms, please do not visit the club and self-isolate yourselves.
- We ask that mobile phones not be shared amongst friends, to avoid cross-contamination via the screens
- We also recommend that gymnasts retain a safe distance from each other whenever possible (2m). While we appreciate this will reduce much of the social fun of the sessions, we do need to try to keep everyone as safe as possible.
Parents
- To avoid unnecessary contamination, please avoid using the recreational viewing area for the time being, unless absolutely necessary, if you have to stay because of young children, please retain a safe distance from other users and follow the Public Health England guidelines on hand washing and sneezing/coughing. For the reminder, either remain in your car or drop your gymnast(s) off and pick up later.
Gymnasts
- Please wash your hands before entering the gym.
- Please wash your hands regularly while in the gym, especially after any contact with either a coach or fellow gymnast (maybe while spotting)
- Avoid touching your hands to your face if possible and follow the guidelines (relevant posters will be on the walls) if you sneeze or cough.
Coaches
- We recommend that you avoid using hand support, while this public health issues exists and until directed otherwise, please coach skills that will not require you to provide such support. If you are comfortable with supporting with belts, then feel free to use these, they will be available beside each trampoline. We do recommend that you use a sanitizer after every gymnast that you support or wash your hands.
- The club has purchased anti-bacterial wipes to clean the trampoline pads and push-in mats, please use these regularly. We struggling to purchase hand sanitizer, if you have these, please bring them to protect yourself
- We recommend you take the time out to wash your hands after every sessions at least.
We appreciate that these activities may disrupt the sessions somewhat, but we are keen to normalise the situation for the gymnasts and coaches as much as we can and we hope we will have everyone’s cooperation in doing so.
Thank you
