Abhi Marlow 2005 to 2026

Date: Wednesday 3rd June 2026 at Whittlesford

Last month (May 2026), former Cangaroos gymnast Abhi Marlow passed away at just 20 years of age.

The Club is deeply saddened by this news, and his passing has affected all of us who knew him and loved him and we send our best wishes to the family at this difficult time.

Abhi and his siblings, were part of the Cangaroos community for many years and his mum was an active member of the Committee.

Abhi joined the Club as a precosious 5 year old, with his long hair, outragous colours and wild spirit he was at times difficult to contain but never balked at trying new things.

Over the years he became an excellent gymnast and competed at the highest levels in Great Britian, regulary winning medals both individually and with his synchro parter Gabe.

Gabe and Abhi were joined at the hip through these years, wherever one went, the other followed, in training and always looking for fun.

Abhi left the Club when his coach, Luis, moved away, but he continued to train with Luis at both Rotations and Comets, and we continued to see him on the circuit for a few more years.

Any child's passing is a tragedy, for a life to be lost so young affects everyone. Our thoughts and feelings go out to his family. While time will reduce the feelings of loss and pain, we know your love for him will never pass. Cangaroos joins you in sharing that love.
