Regional Schools Championships 2012 Sunday 9th December 2012 Cangaroos had a couple of members entered into the Regional School Competition. Both Matthew and Sydney were aiming to qualify to the second round and both did so with significant ease. Full report to follow....

The Friday Night Club at Cambridge Cangaroos Friday 30th November 2012 Friday 30th November saw four members of the community run Friday Night Club come along for a free taster of trampolining at the Cambridge Cangaroos base at Sawston Village College. Under the watchful eye of Ali they tried out some of the basic moves of the sport and learned some useful tips.

Later start time for Netherhall sessions Friday 9th November 2012 - Friday 30th November 2012 Netherhall school are doing a music and drama production, at the end of November and as such we have had to make alteration to our session times for a few weeks.
NEW Day and Time for Conditioning Sunday 4th November 2012 - Tuesday 8th October 2013 Circuit training has now moved to the more convenient slot of 6-6.45pm on Fridays at SVC such that all squad members can attend. As always the session is open to all members, coaches and parents and is a great way to keep fit, lose weight and meet new people!
Ali takes his L3M4 course at Edgbarrow 2012 Sunday 4th November 2012 Ali, Andrew and Luis journeyed across to Edgbarrow for Ali's L3M4 course at Edgbarrow Trampoline Centre in Bracknell. This is the final of the L3 modules and now means that should he pass all the exams he will hold the full L3 coach level.
Coaches Meeting 2012 Thursday 1st November 2012 The coaches meeting was a successful evening where the attending coaches were able to discuss issues that needed resolving and to have a quick catch up. Many thanks to all that made it on that frightfully cold night.
English National Championships 2012 Saturday 27th October 2012 Five members of Cambridge Cangaroos along with coaches and officials, travelled as part of the Eastern Region team to compete at the English National Championships on 27th October in a snowy South Shields. Winter has come early it would seem.
Free Club T-Shirt with Membership Thursday 18th October 2012 As mentioned in our Autumn booking form the club is giving away a brand new free club t-shirt with your membership this year. This t-shirt should be used for training as well as the coloured grading shirts.
Easton Grading 2012 Sunday 14th October 2012 Cambridge Cangaroos Trampoline club travelled to Easton College, Norwich for the final Regional Grading of the 2012 season. Seventeen members took part of the day and we came away with some fantastic results including 8 medals and two grade qualifications.

Brentwood Open 2012 Sunday 30th September 2012 The Brentwood Open 2012 was the first competition of the regional season. Ultimately 9 Cangaroos went down to Brentwood to get some valuable practice ahead of the Easton Grading in October. With three trophies and including a first time competition for Joel it was an intense day.
Andrew passes his L2! Saturday 1st September 2012 Congratulations must go to Andrew Aistrup who today passed his L2 coaching exam and is now a fully qualified L2 coach meaning he can run his own sessions and teach up to and including single somersaults. Andrew continued commitment to training, judging and coaching is one again greatly appreciated by the club and we wish him all the best for his L3M1!
Coaches Meeting 2012 Thursday 30th August 2012 The CRC Summer coaches meeting allowed all the coaches to discuss the upcoming term and to get some much needed bounce time. August Committee Meeting 2012 Sunday 5th August 2012 The August committee meeting and club BBQ was a great success. Once the matters of committee were discussed Chef Noble took to the grill and cooked up a mountain of tasty meet to eat. A great way to finish the season!
Olympic Trampolining Competition 2012 Friday 3rd August 2012 - Saturday 4th August 2012 The Cangaroos journeyed down to the North Greenwich Arena on Saturday to watch the best in the world compete at the Olympics in the mens trampoline. Dong Dong, Jason Burnett, Steven Gluckstien, Dmitry Ushakov and Lu Chunlong were among the competitors that competed some of the most breathtaking routines ever seen. We can only hope Kat step it up a level on Saturday to claim GBs first ever Olympic Trampoline medal.
Anthony Traher passes his L1 coaching exam Wednesday 25th July 2012 Congratulations Anthony on passing his L1 coaching exam. Anthony's tireless effort towards trampolining has been shining through of late and the club is very proud of his newly attained qualification as an assistant coach.
Cangaroos on Radio Cambridgeshire breakfast show! Wednesday 25th July 2012 In the morning of Wednesday 25th July BBC radio Cambridgeshire ventured down to Sawston Village College to do a small piece on the Cambridge Cangaroos Trampoline club in Sawston with head coach Tony Fagelman and trampolinist Harry Mallows.

Dragons Open 2012 Sunday 15th July 2012 The Easton-based Dragons Trampoline Club hosted a fantastic friendly open competition with individual, synchro and roulette synchro competitions. Cangaroos hauled in an impressive 11 trophies, alongside several personal bests and first attempts at a synchro competition. The day ended with a fun roulette synchro competition which randomly assigns partners out of all entries, including pairings with a rather substantial height difference! Despite this we took first and fourth place with Grace Pike/Harry Mallows and Yasmin Snook/Georgina (Dragons) respectively. An excellent achievement for all those involved.
Sawston Olympics Family Fun Day 2012 Saturday 14th July 2012 The Sawston demo and tryout session was a busy and successful afternoon for the Cangaroos. Hosted inside the SvC sports hall we were safe from the elements and able to pull out the biggest tricks for the cheering crowds and onlookers!
ARM Summer BBQ Trampoline Display 2012 Saturday 14th July 2012 The ARM Summer BBQ display was a massive success despite the temperamental weather. The Cangaroos arrived early with the trampoline after completing the previous demo in Sawston for the Olympics Family Fun Day. With the weather looking bleak and the cold rain we were bracing for bad news but just as our time came so did a let up in the weather!
Shelford Feast Demo 2012 Sunday 8th July 2012 Sadly the Feast demo has been cancelled this year due to weather conditions. But we will be back for the Arm Demo next weekend and Shelford next year!
Cambridge Big Weekend Demo 2012 Saturday 7th July 2012 The 2012 Big Weekend demo took place on Parkers Piece in Cambridge. Our demo team turned up and set all the trampolines up. Sadly only 20 minutes in the heavens opened and rain put an early end to the day. We would still like to thank everyone who turned up and hope to see you at the Sawston/Shelford/Arm demos.
British National Finals 2012 Friday 6th July 2012 - Sunday 8th July 2012 A great weekend at Birmingham for the 2012 National Finals. Having qualified in the Galas throughout the year Ali, Luis and Nat went up Friday for orientation and then to feast on Chinese. This was there chance to compete for the national title (and more bragging rights).
CRC Open Day Display 2012 Saturday 30th June 2012 The demo at CRC was a great success with 8 bouncers staying to help and a good time was had by all. Some excellent routines from the performers and a massive thanks to Mums, Dads, bouncers, coaches, helpers and Kim for an organised display. Our next ones will take place on the big weekend in Cambridge and at Shelford Feast the following Sunday.
Fenland Flyers Open 2012 Sunday 24th June 2012 The Fenland Flyers hosted a fantastic open competition in Wisbech. Cangaroos had a massive medal hall including 11 individual and 2 team medals. In between various visits to the impressive and nourishing cake stall, all our bouncers did exceptionally well. Especially those that had not bounced on a 4x4 until now due to their being no choice of trampolines on either panel.

Hitchin Grading 2012 Sunday 10th June 2012 Cambridge Cangaroos Trampoline club made the short journey to Hitchin Grammar School on June 10th for the 3rd grading of the 2012 season. With 22 entries in the trampoline competition and a further 4 in the regions inaugural Double Mini Tramp (DMT) competition, we were once again well represented. A number unfortunately pulled out, but once again a good medal haul and some significant qualifications were attained.
Byron passes his L1! Wednesday 23rd May 2012 Byron has now passed his L1 and is a qualified assistant coach - congratulations on a job well done!
Ali passes his L3M3!!! Friday 18th May 2012 Ali passed his L3M3 today after Jack Kelly signed off the module. He is now one module and exam away from senior club coach - well done!
Cangaroos Conditioning Sessions Thursday 17th May 2012 As you may or may not know, we have been running conditioning sessions mainly for our competitive squads on Wednesday Evenings, 7.45-8.45pm at Sawston (in the gymnasium, adjacent to the sports hall). These have already proved extremely popular and a mix of performers, coaches and parents have been attending.

Thursday 10th May 2012 Andrew Aistrup has been a sensational help to the club since joining us and we wish to congratulate him on passing his regional judging course. This now makes Andrew our highest qualified judge and fantastic addition to our coaching team and committee.

Cangaroos at Alton Towers 2012 Thursday 26th April 2012 - Friday 27th April 2012 On the 28th April five brave coaches set off to Alton Towers for some high speed thrills in the theme and water park. It was a fantastic two days of thrills and enjoyment and big thanks to Michele our super social secretary for organising it!
The Welsh Gala 2012 Saturday 21st April 2012 - Sunday 22nd April 2012 Cangaroos took two members to the Welsh Gala, held at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on the weekend of 21st & 22nd April 2012. A third member, Nat Wittingham was due to compete but withdrew the week before due to injury. Both Trinity Kelly and Thomas Verdicchio had their own challenges to surmount and Head Coach Tony Fagelman had set them specific goals to achieve at the competition.

The Saffron Walden Grading 2012 Sunday 25th March 2012 For the third year, Cambridge Cangaroos played host to the Eastern Regional Grading competition at our centre at Saffron Walden County High School. With over 350 entries from more than 20 Trampoline clubs throughout the whole of the East of England, this was the biggest regional trampoline competition for over 10 years.

The Yorkshire Gala 2012 Saturday 17th March 2012 Cangaroos took two members to the Yorkshire Gala, held at the Gymtech Arena in Hull on the weekend of 17th & 18th March. Luis Pires was looking to achieve national finals qualification in DMT Fig B, having already secured qualification for Trampolining at National C. Matthew Burson, 11, was in the tricky situation of having to avoid a second consecutive caution as that would mean relegation back to Regional D grade.
