Welcome to Cambridge Cangaroos

Cambridge Cangaroos was formed in June 2004, it now has over 180 active members and 8 coaches, plus a large number of enthusiastic assistant coaches. We are based at Sawston Sports Centre and operate satellite centres at Cottenham Sports Centre, Coleridge College, Linton Community Sports Centre and Saffron Walden County High Sports Centre.

Please check availability before booking.

The club was formed to encourage recreational trampolinists to take up competitive opportunities and to provide disability trampolining to all those who wish to take part in this exhilarating sport.

The club is coached by Tony Fagelman, former GB youth international performer and Senior Coach, Laura Able, Senior Coach plus club coaches; Emily Copeland, Sarah Allen and Katie Winwood and coaches Fiona Hill, Natasha Fagelman, Francoise Lucas plus assistant coaches; Max, Imogen H, Michael, Joe, Jo W, Imogen P, Cameron, Michelle, Emma and Luis.

"ROOS"
Due to demand we have added a 4th Roos session. These start from 30th Jan. If you would like your child to take-up a place at Roos, please contact us at info at cangaroos.org.
Roos has been operating very succesfully for over two years, it certainly doesn't seem that long since we started the sessions especally for our under 8 bouncers. There are now four Roos sessions, running 9.00am - 10.00.10, 10.00am - 11.00am, 11.00am - 12.00pm and 12.00pm - 1.00 pm on Saturday mornings, with their own dedicated coaches. Congratulations
Congratulations to Luis Pires who passed his Level 1 coaching award on 17th January 2010. We hope to have Luis assisting on Saturday mornings at Sawston and is hoping to go on and take his Level 2 in March. Welcome and congratulations also go out to Katie Winwood, who has joined the club and has also recently passed her Level 3 coaching award. Katie will be coaching on Saturdays at Sawston and has started an affiliated club at her school in Witchford, nr Ely. For more details, please contact info at cangaroos.org.

Living Sport Sports Awards
The club is delighted to announce that we won the Living Sports Community Club of the Year Award and Tony Fagelman, head coach, was runner up in the Coach of the Year award. Full report and pictures can be found here

AGM
The 2009 AGM was held at Sawston Sports Centre on 8th July at 7.30pm. Members and families were invited to attend. A full report is available here

Gym Mark
We are DELIGHTED to announce that the club has succesfully achieved Gym Mark. Various new documents and policies have been published on the Members page. We encourage all our members to read these policies and documents. In time we will add a specific Gym Mark page, where members and visitors can see all of our Gym Mark documentation. Please note that copies of all the polices and documents are carried by the coaches or committee at each session, if you wish to read them.

Availability
Due to the purchase of new equipment, Cangaroos is delighted to announce added availability at virtually all our sessions. So if you ever fancied having a go on a trampoline, or want to improve or move from recreational bouncing to competitive training and competing, then check out the Help page to see if we have sessions near you at times that suit.

Cambridge SSCO
The club is delighted to announce that we have formed a partnership with Cambridge SSCO. This means that our close ties with our current schools will be maintained and expanded to include all primary schools connected to those secondary schools. In addition, we are looking at how we can further expand to bring trampolining to the remaining 5 schools in the partnership and their feeder primary schools.

Club Competition & Presentation Ceremony
The club hel our closed competition on Saturday 12th December at Sawston Sports Centre followed by the Awards ceremony. Details can be found at Club Competition 2009 and Awards ceremony 2009. For full details of last years events please click here

URGENT - Parents needed to volunteer to help out in official capacities for 1/2 days at competitions - talk to Tony or a member of the committee if you are willing... The club will subsidise any judging courses and we will teach you how to record or marshal.
