Project 2026

We have moved!

We are delighted to let you know that we are almost ready to open the doors to our new home in Sawston!

After weeks of planning, building, organising and an incredible amount of hard work, Cambridge Cangaroos has officially moved into our new facility.

This simply wouldn't have been possible without the support of an absolutely heroic team of parents, volunteers and coaches, who have given up countless hours to help us move equipment, prepare the gym and get everything ready. We are incredibly grateful to every single person who has helped us reach this point.

The good news is that we're now in a position to begin running Pay As You Go sessions throughout August while we prepare for our full September timetable.

We're excited to say that:

Our August sessions are designed to give both existing and new members the opportunity to get back on the trampoline, experience our fantastic new venue and enjoy some bouncing over the summer holidays.

Booking Your Sessions

Sessions are now available to book through our online booking system using the link below:

BOOK AUGUST SESSIONS HERE

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment.

Parent Viewing

Our upstairs room is planned to become a dedicated viewing area for parents and spectators. We are currently arranging a date for the installation of the viewing windows, which will create a comfortable space for families to watch sessions.

Until then, parents are very welcome to sit in the gym while sessions are taking place. We kindly ask that everyone remains seated in the designated areas and helps us maintain a safe coaching environment for all gymnasts.

Parking

There is limited parking directly outside the centre. However, there is plenty of additional parking just a 30-second walk away on the left as you approach the right hand turning towards the centre, under the trees.

As there is no dedicated footpath from the overflow parking area to the centre, we ask everyone to take extra care when walking to and from the building, particularly with younger children. Please supervise children closely and put safety first at all times.

Moving Day - help needed!

The planned relocation of Cambridge Cangaroos is due to take place on .

We have been very fortunate to be sponsored in the move by Welch's Transport who are providing a lorry and driver to assist. We will have their services on Saturday morning and if required again on , if we do not manage to move everything on Saturday.

To assist the Club in the move we need volunteers to help us pack up, load the lorry (and accompanying vehicles) and unload the lorry (potentially multiple times).

As were moving heavy items such as the trampolines, DMT and floor mats, we will need people to assist with that. However, we will also need assistance to take up and move the floor matting, the bits of furniture, the printer and everything else that's left in the building.

Once at the new venue, we will need to putting the equipment into place and safely storing items that do not yet have a home in the new building.

We have requested Welch's be at Whittlesford for to take the first load. As such, if volunteers can meet at the centre for , we can pack up the trampolines and DMT, and get them ready for loading. We will need to bag the foam from the pit and get that ready for loading also, along with the remaining items.

Please wear clothes that you do not mind getting dirty and protective footwear.

Thank you in advance for helping, we could not do this without your support and efforts.

Update June 2026

Overview

We are all super excited by the impending move to our new Sawston location: Unit P2, Grove Road, Sawston, CB22 3TJ. With the move come some challenges: the transition between sites, the new class times and most importantly, making sure we charge our members correctly.

The last training date at Whittlesford will be 24th July, and we will be taking a summer break while we move all the equipment and settle into our new home. We anticipate holding an open day and some holiday sessions during the summer; dates will follow shortly.

To avoid overcharging, we will pause all subscriptions.

Once the classes are published

Await an email to confirm your sessions at the new centre. In most cases this will be on the same day as your current sessions.

Thank you for your support in our transition to Sawston and your continued loyalty to our club!

Update April 2026

Overview

We are incredibly excited to finally share some big news about the future of our club. After a huge amount of planning, discussions and hard work behind the scenes, we are now in the final stages of confirming a move to a brand-new venue in Sawston.

This will be an exciting step forward in our long-term vision to continue growing and developing opportunities for all of our members. Over recent years, the club has expanded enormously, and we are confident that we will be able to continue growing and building a larger, stronger and even more connected trampolining community in our new home. The new venue will allow us to continue developing both our recreational and squad programmes and improve the overall training environment for our gymnasts.

New unit location

While there are still a few final details to confirm before everything is officially complete, we wanted our members and families to be among the first to hear about this exciting next chapter.

Session changes

As part of this move, we will also be updating our class timetable and session structure to help support the continued growth in membership across the club. Moving forward, sessions will operate within an age-based structure. We believe this will provide a number of important benefits for our gymnasts, including:

  • Strengthening the sense of community within the club
  • Supporting the development of friendships between gymnasts of similar ages
  • Creating clearer progression pathways through the sport
  • Allowing our coaching team to be utilised in the most effective way possible
  • Ensuring sessions remain enjoyable, engaging and development-focused for all members

We understand that changes to class structures can naturally bring questions, and we will work closely with families to ensure transitions between groups are as smooth as possible.

How can you help?

When the time comes, we may also need to call upon this fantastic community for support to help us complete the move in a timely manner. Many of our members and families have a wide range of skills, trades and professional expertise, and any support offered would be hugely appreciated.

Some of the support we may require could include:

  • Transport and moving solutions
  • Electricians
  • Carpenters
  • Heating installation and solutions for a large unit space
  • Window installation

If you feel you may be able to help in any way, please do get in touch with us directly.

What happens next

At this stage, sessions will continue as normal, and we will be in touch very soon with further information including:

  • The full venue address
  • Planned moving dates
  • Updated timetables and class allocations

We appreciate your patience while the final arrangements are completed and would like to thank all of our members and families for your continued support during this exciting transition.

We cannot wait to welcome you all to our new home in Sawston.
